I was born Thursday, September 23rd, 1976 in Indiana, U.S. I have blue eyes and dark auburn hair (when it isn't dyed).
I learned to read music before I learned to read words. I played in annual piano recitals from the time I was 6. I acted in a few of my grandmother's plays. When I was 11 I started playing flute at school. By the time I was 13 I was entered into performance competitions for piano and flute. I went to a state-level three years in a row for piano, the last of which I was studying under Alexander (Sasha) Korsantiya at Indiana University when I was 17. I was on the tennis team, volleyball team and track team in high school . I took 6 years of science in 4 years. I was on the PomPom team. (( where did all of that energy go!? ))
In 1995 I went to Southwestern Michigan College on a scholarship for music. After a year I moved to Western Michigan University. Only after moving there did they bother to mention that in order to do a music composition course I would need to complete the 4 year music performance degree first. I quickly left the music program and finished the year in philosophy, Spanish, French and fiction & poetry writing classes. In the Spring of 1998 I moved to Indiana University in South Bend and received a scholarship to complete a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition.
I moved to London in September 2001 on a student visa. I finished a Masters Degree in Music Composition for New Media from the London College of Music & Media (Thames Valley University) in November 2002. While studying I met Gavin and we started dating. After awhile we got a house together .. one thing led to another and on the 4th of April 2004 we got married at St. Mary & All Saints Parish Church in Bingham, England.
